Cola is an 11 year old going on 3 Flat Coat Retriever/Plott Hound Mix. She had to be separated from the only family she has ever known because her owner had to go to assisted living. One of the saddest things I find is to have to take in and separate a senior dog from its one and only loving home . Cola was very shut down when she arrived at PTA, but we made it our mission to make her feel comfortable and she did come around. Although she is 11 ,she still has a lot of energy, spunk and fun in her. She loves to chase a ball, throw a stuffed animal in the air, and yes, destuff them as well. She is loyal and loving and LOVES to ride in the car. She has lived with other dogs and although she likes her space, she can live with them harmoniously. We have won her over, but it is very sad to see her at our facility day after day when all she wants is her person to lay next to. She has no health issues that we are aware of, is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccines. We are hoping someone will give her her second and last forever home.
